Making children's therapy services stylish & accessible
Kites Children's Therapy is a new sub-division of VisAbility, which provides professional therapy and support services to assist children with disabilities, and their families. The website was created as part of a new brand launch, and focuses on Kites' unique therapy services and philosophy, presented in an energetic, youthful veneer.
A balance between playful & professional
The client was looking for a healthy mix of child-like playfulness and professionalism in the site’s design. Borrowing visual cues from Kites’ newly created brand identity, a dynamic use of angles and splashes of primary colour was combined with a more traditional grid system to create a modern, youthful and accessible design.
Highly accessible
Kites’ demographic naturally includes users with disabilities, so it was extremely important that every detail of the design be highly accessible and meet WCAG2 compliance. The design was carefully considered and extensively tested, including real world testing by participants with a range of varied abilities, to meet the highest accessibility standards possible.
